Frequently asked questions
What is mastering?
The last step that makes a song ready to release, after mixing. Your song ends up about as loud as other songs on streaming services, does not clip at its loudest points, is easier on the ears, and matches the file spec distributors ask for. MOYS does this step for you automatically, so there is nothing to learn and no plugins to buy.
Why do some songs sound fizzy or harsh, and how do you fix it?
Many songs have harsh highs between 3 and 7 kHz and metallic fizz above 7 kHz. MOYS splits the sound into 4 bands and turns these two down only when they go too far, so the rest of the song is not squashed. On 6 real songs, the Soft style cut the fizz by 2.8–4.9 dB and Balanced by 1.0–2.6 dB.
What genres does it work with?
All of them: pop, rock, hip-hop, luk thung or EDM. Recorded at home or mixed in a studio, as long as the song is fully mixed into one file.
What files do you accept?
WAV, FLAC and MP3, up to 300MB and 10 minutes. MP3 works, but WAV or FLAC will sound better.
Will my song stand out if it is louder than -14 LUFS?
Not on streaming. Spotify, YouTube and Tidal already play every song at about -14 LUFS, so a louder master gets turned down. It does not sound louder, just flatter. That is why our default is -14 LUFS. If you want a louder file to play on its own, pick the Loud option (-10 LUFS) when you choose your style.
How long does it take?
Usually under a minute. It may take a little longer when many people are using it.
I don't like the result. Can I redo it?
Yes. Upload the same song again and pick another style. Each try uses 1 credit.
What if I run out of credits?
Buy more credits on the Settings page, for 27–39 baht per song depending on the pack. Pay by PromptPay or card. The credits are added by themselves once the payment goes through, and never expire.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, on the Settings page. We delete your account, history and all your song files right away. If you sign up again with the same email, you will not get free credits again.
